A Pair of Oak Barrel Tub Chairs, stool, seat, Whiskey, Rum, Wine, garden cooler  

We carefully select reclaimed barrels for the correct characteristics to create these beautiful tub chairs. Every barrel is different, not one pair will be the same. We cut them to shape, sand them to reveal their gorgeous grain but leave enough of the aged surface to create this beautiful tiger stripe effect. 

We initially use a Danish Oil to enhance the grain, colour and revive the timber. They are then finished with up to five coats of a UV resistant yacht varnish (either gloss or satin) making them not only perfect for inside the home but ideal for your garden, or outside space. 

The barrel is sanded and finished inside and out with a gap around the seat and drainage holes in the bottom so they don't hold water when left outside. You will see from photographs that they also make the perfect garden cooler. 

Although we will sometimes have these in stock they are more commonly built to order as with most of our products. Don't let this put you off as we are professional and realistic with our timescales and once a collection or delivery date has been arranged it will be met. The beauty of this method of production is it allows you to customise your order, from minor tweeks, to complete commission projects only limited by you imagination.
